Gan Boon Jin is responsible for promoting innovation, environmental sustainability and driving digital transformation. He also leads in acquiring transport-related operations and maintenance engineering capabilities and is growing train station-based engineering solutions and services business.
Before 2018, Boon Jin was with ST Kinetics (previously known as ST Engineering Land Systems) for 17 years where he held various key appointments including Chief Operating Officer and President, Defence Business and Chief Engineering Officer of the Land Systems arm of ST Engineering. There, he grew the defence business and assisted to build new engineering capabilities to support the evolving business needs of the Land Systems sector.
An Engineer by training, with decades of experience in developing engineering products and business, Boon Jin leads Strides Engineering in providing clients with advanced innovative technologies, digital solutions and services that delivers safety, reliability and comfort to commuters.
Boon Jin holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He also holds a MSc in Military Vehicle Technology from the Royal Military College of Science (Cranfield University), United Kingdom. At Cranfield University, Boon Jin received the Royal Ordnance Trophy. He also attended the Executive Management Programmes at the International Institute for Management Development and Columbia University.
Boon Jin is a member of the Institute of Engineers Singapore, and a Fellow of the Academy of Engineering, Singapore. In 1999, he was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) for his dedicated service at the Ministry of Defence, Singapore.

Head, Applied Rail Technologies, Strides Engineering
Lee Keen Sing leads the capability domains of Strides Engineering in data analytics, artificial intelligence and condition monitoring to enhance rail reliability and predictive maintenance. He also drives innovative technology development through the application of robotics, automation and mechanisation for rail maintenance.
Prior to Strides Engineering, Keen Sing served at the Defence Science & Technology Agency (DSTA) where his key achievements included leading the operations and governance of naval systems and implementing new technologies through multi-national collaborations to enhance Special Forces performance. He was conferred The Commendation Medal, National Day Awards, in 2013 for his contributions to the defence capability build up for Singapore.
With Keen Sing’s strong credentials in driving technology development coupled with deep experience of rail system and maintenance, he offers a broad perspective in designing and delivering innovative solutions. Throughout his multi-faceted career in SMRT, Keen Sing held key appointments including Chief Engineer Technology Management Office, Director Project Planning & System Integration, Director Permanent Way, Head Trains Safety & Security and Deputy Chief Safety & Security Officer. He led technology developments, provided integrated multi-disciplinary support to Trains, oversaw the renewal of rail permanent way assets and led Trains’ safety and security initiatives.
Keen Sing holds a Master of Science in Engineering & Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Engineering Degrees from the Nanyang Technological University, and is a graduate of the General Management Programme from the National University of Singapore. He is also a Chartered Engineer in Railway Engineering and a Senior Member of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore.

Ang Thiam Huat is a veteran in public transport Automatic Fare Collection (AFC). As a professional with over 30 years of experience, Thiam Huat oversees the management of the AFC team to drive operation and maintenance of fare systems and Access Control Systems. He also develops capability and partnerships in digital payments and new generation AFC systems. In business growth, Thiam Huat participates in local and overseas tenders and have secured AFC related projects beyond the public transport space.
Thiam Huat joined SMRT in 1993 where he helmed the Fare System portfolio. Under his leadership, the Fare System team grew its technical service and support capabilities in Singapore and overseas, winning many revenue projects and widening the revenue footprint.
With his decades of deep knowledge in AFC and digital payment systems, Thiam Huat offers clients expertise in designing solutions and services that are suited for diverse environments, meeting unique operations and maintenance requirements.
Thiam Huat holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) from the National University of Singapore.

Andrew Tan is a transport industry professional with over 16 years of experience. At Strides Engineering, he supports business growth strategies through driving advanced innovative technologies as well as digital solutions and services.
Andrew’s experience spans many portfolios. He has diverse experience in the development of emerging transport initiatives and capabilities such Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), rail and bus transport planning, policy planning, rail line bidding, enterprise risk management, rail and roads business strategy and corporate planning.
Leveraging on his extensive experience across the urban mobility space, Andrew is a key member in the strategic development of new business opportunities, where he integrates business solutioning of Strides Engineering’s capabilities.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) from the National University of Singapore.
General Manager, Infocomm Business, Strides Engineering
Sam Tan is a seasoned professional in the Information Technology industry with over 20 years of experience. At Strides Engineering, he is responsible for business development, service delivery, operations and maintenance, commercial client management, broadening the breadth and depth of the services, with the aim of expanding and delivering business growth.
At StarHub, one of Singapore’s leading telecommunications company, Sam led customer service and delivery in Information Technology and field operations. As a specialist in system engineering, data networking and fibre optics infrastructure, Sam has deep experience ranging from system and network engineering to project management and business development.
Anchoring on his strong technical and business background in system engineering in Infocomm, Sam provides innovative, practical solutions and services for businesses to grow.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing from University of Portsmouth. He also holds accredited training and certifications, such as Certified Professional in Microsoft System, Cisco System technologies and Network Security.
Koh Lian Soon

Koh Lian Soon leads Strides Engineering’s project consultancy service, project contract management and business development in rail transit systems.
He started his career in M&E consultancy, before joining SMRT and now Strides Engineering. With some 20 years of experience, Lian Soon has led and secured millions worth of rail transit system projects, such as the Sentosa Monorail System maintenance contract, fare gates system projects, supervisory control system projects and Train Travel Information system projects for Singapore’s North South and East West lines.
Leveraging his expansive working experience in rail transit system, Lian Soon delivers solutions and services in new areas of business, such as station-based system projects, IoT solutions in rail engineering and system implementation in large-scale brown field projects.
Lian Soon holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) from USA, Ohio Northern University.
